PE and Sport

Every Child Matters to us in the PE department and our extensive Physical Education curriculum fosters a genuine concern for the students’ continued progress. Students will experience; the full range of National Curriculum activities, expert visiting coaches, leadership opportunities and the use of video cameras to assess their own development throughout the curriculum.

Extra-curricular activities

We offer an extensive extracurricular programme for all to access. We have many very talented young sportsmen and women and are particularly proud of the achievements of those who have represented both the county and the country. Our intention is that every student has a route from school PE into a local sports clubs in every sport from golf to show jumping!
Students who have demonstrated commitment to extra-curricular sport and shown excellent sportsmanship during their time at Guilsborough School are given the opportunity to represent the school on tours, these include a rugby tour to Chicago and Milwaukee and hockey, football and rugby tour to Barcelona, Spain. We regularly organise the school ski trip and have visited Boston, USA and France.
