A Level Press Statement 2018 for Guilsborough Academy

In another successful year, Guilsborough Academy are delighted with the A level and BTEC results their students achieved; nearly half of all grades are at A*-B.  The year group have made fantastic progress during their time in the 6th form with students going on to a variety of different pathways at post 18.  Some have chosen to continue their studies at university, whilst others have taken up exciting apprenticeship or employment opportunities.

Mrs Swales, Principal, said, “We are proud of how hard our students have worked over the past 2 years, with the support of our staff and their parents/carers.  We would like to congratulate them for all their achievements.  Whilst credit goes to our highest achieving students who obtained all A*/A grades: Matthew Baker, Jessica O’Brien, Isacc Tramontana, Cora Bancroft and Luke Thompson, we would also like to praise the achievements of those that have made outstanding progress; these include: Jessica Hedley, Asha Karavadra, Aidan Dixon, John Roberts and George Chamberlain.  Congratulations also go to Luke Thompson, who is going to Keele University to study medicine and Cora Bancroft, who is going to the Dyson Institute of Technology to study engineering incorporating an engineering degree at Warwick University.”

Good luck to our Year 13 class of 2018.  Please keep in touch through our alumni, so that we get to hear about all the wonderful things you go on to do in the future.
