Guilsborough Academy GCSE Results 2017

Students at Guilsborough Academy are celebrating after achieving a superb set of GCSE examination results.

Students and staff have worked hard to achieve fantastic results, especially considering all the national changes that have taken place this year.

100% of students achieved both English and Mathematics GCSEs under the new system, with the majority achieving the new grade 4 or above (old C grade) in both subjects.  This allows them to go onto the next stage of their chosen career path, with many of them choosing to stay on into the 6th form at Guilsborough Academy.  Mrs Swales, Principal said, “We are so pleased that all the hard work by our students and staff, supported by parents, has reaped the high rewards they deserve.  These results, as well as their wonderful personal skills, will allow them to continue to do new and exciting things.”

Whilst Guilsborough Academy is proud of the achievements of all its students we would like to highlight those that achieved all A*/A grades and equivalent, which included Lucy Fergusson, Georgia Lett, Charlotte Newton Bennett, Lucy Exley, George Andrew, Charlie Risdale, Rachel Wyss, Llio Godfrey-Flower and Lewis Tetley.  A special mention also goes to Samuel Bryant, Anais Worrell, Luca Pett and Freya Higman for making the most progress, in their year group, since joining Guilsborough Academy.

Well done to all Year 11 students at Guilsborough Academy 2017.  This leg of the journey is now complete and we wish you the best of luck for the future.  To those continuing into the 6th form, we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 5th September.
