Cancelled - Y11 Preparation Evening - 16 March
We have cancelled the Year 11 Preparation Evening on 16th March. In February (2nd) we ran a similar event that was well attended by parents and carers. At this event, we led workshop sessions with a specific focus on English, maths and science as well as generic revision skills. If you were unable to make this evening and would like more information about the content that was shared, please contact Mr Harvey so we can address any queries that you may have.

A-level Press Statement 2017
Mrs Swales, Principal at Guilsborough Academy, said that she could not be more proud of her Year 13 students. Not only have they achieved an excellent set of academic results, but they have also gained places at a wide range of universities and high quality apprenticeships. She said also: “Our students are a credit to themselves, the school and their parents. They have worked extremely hard at their studies whilst being involved in the wider school initiatives leading as excellent role models to our younger students”.
As a school Guilsborough continues, year on year, to achieve excellent results overall, with 49% of all grades at A*-B and 79% at A*-C this year. “This is due also to our staff and parents/carers working in close partnership to enable our students to have the best possible support which has really paid off,” said Mrs Swales.
Miss Nunley, Head of 6th Form added, “Whilst the school is proud of all our students a particular mention goes to those who achieved all A*/A grades: Izzy Van Besouw, George Fairbrother, Anna Scullion, Isaac Watson, Milly Munro and Rebecca Wilson. Furthermore, Rebekah Curran, Perri Dando, Molly Jarvis, Charly Kelly, Harry Thorpe and Daisy Pierce must be mentioned as they significantly exceeded their target grades in all their subject areas”.
Well done and good luck for the future to all our Year 13 students, please come back and visit your Guilsborough Family to let us know about your future successes.
