Guilsborough Academy

Guilsborough Academy is a high performing academy set in rural Northamptonshire.

The school was founded in September 1958 as Guilsborough Secondary Modern School and was officially opened in May 1959, the previous school was 'Guilsborough Grammar School' which was originally a boarding school. Many of the buildings on the 28-acre (11 ha) site were built at that time or in the 1970s.

During 2020 - 2021 Guilsborough Academy Trust started work on a major investment programme to improve the facilities for students at Guilsborough.  Over £2 million has been invested in a new Business, Economic, Psychology and Sociology centre as well as new changing rooms, a fitness suite, a new ICT room and a new Food and Nutrition room.

Enrichment is a very important part of Guilsborough Academy, ensuring students have the opportunity to develop new skills, talents and character outside their formal learning environment. We offer a wealth of clubs including music, drama, sports and gaming.

We also offer the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Examination Results

Each year we celebrate the wonderful achievements of our students at A level and GCSE. Many of our students secure places at their first choice university, as well as meaningful gap years and apprenticeship opportunities.
