Safer Internet Day 2025 – Protecting Against Online Scams

Tuesday 11th February 2025 is Safer Internet Day, a global initiative dedicated to promoting safer and more responsible internet use.
This year’s theme, ‘Too Good to be True? Protecting Yourself and Others from Scams Online’, focusses on helping children and young people recognise and avoid online scams, fraud, and misinformation.
At school, students will learn how to identify suspicious content, protect their personal information, and report online scams. We encourage you to continue these discussions at home by:
- Teaching your child to question online offers that seem too good to be true
- Encouraging them to avoid sharing personal details with unknown sources
- Reminding them to report suspicious messages, websites, or emails
