  • Guilsborough students celebrate their excellent results

    Published 18/08/22

Students at Guilsborough Academy are again celebrating their ‘A’-Level and Level 3 BTEC results.  With growing numbers in the Sixth Form, more students were celebrating results which have allowed them to access a range of high level University and apprenticeship courses.  Yet again, the vast majority of students will be studying at their first choice University, with almost 1 in 5 gaining a place at a Russell Group University and two students securing a place at Oxford.

Dean Mills, Director of Sixth Form, said, “We are proud of the success our students have achieved during what has been the most challenging times.  The resilience they have demonstrated has been exceptional.”

Simon Frazer, Principal, stated, “our students deserve the excellent results they have achieved.  Supported by our amazing staff, they have shown real determination and ambition.  Our Sixth Form is really popular and, with a 100% pass rate for the examinations taken this year, we are looking forward to continuing our tradition of delivering high attainment alongside opportunities to explore the Arts and other extra curricular activities”.

The esports arena was breath-taking and our students did everything from gaming, to music/sound and vision and even commentary! After that we had a classroom session on a programme called Mudbox where students created Aliens using Digital rendering. A brilliant day. Our students really did us proud – excellent ambassadors for our core values: Respect – Aspiration – Responsibility and Equality.
