Our students have just returned from an unforgettable challenge - their Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award Training Expedition in the stunning yet demanding Lake District. This experience tested their resilience, teamwork, and outdoor skills in the beautiful but rugged landscapes of the Northeast Fells, hiking from Threlkeld to Ullswater and Patterdale.

On Thursday 20th March, five students, accompanied by Mr Woolridge, Assistant Principal and Senior Mental Health Lead, and Miss Rowinski, our school counsellor, attended the third annual For Students By Students Conference at St Benedict’s Church, Northampton. This inspiring event, organised by the newly appointed Lead Global Ambassador Students at Quinton House School, focused on the critical topic of mental health.

On Friday 14th March, Guilsborough Academy students embarked on their final Pathfinders trip of the year to Lincoln College, University of Oxford. This was the last of six trips for our Year 11 students who were part of the pilot Pathfinders programme - and what a day it was!

Over the half-term break, our Year 12 and 13 students had the unforgettable experience of a trip to Paris as part of their A-Level studies in Art, Photography, English Language, English Literature and Sociology. The trip provided the perfect blend of culture, creativity, and adventure, giving students the opportunity to explore world-famous galleries, soak in breathtaking views, and immerse themselves in the literary and artistic history of the French capital.

Tuesday 11th February 2025 is Safer Internet Day, a global initiative dedicated to promoting safer and more responsible internet use.
